Nassau, Bahamas - Citi has been recognized by Global Finance magazine in the First Round of the “World’s Best Digital Corporate/Institutional Banks in Latin America 2019” competition, with ten regional sub-category awards and nineteen country awards.

Citi received a total of ten awards in the regional sub-categories of “Best Corporate/Institutional Digital Banks” including “Best Investment Management Services,” “Best Online Cash Management,” “Best Trade Finance Services,” “Best Integrated Corporate Bank Site,” “Best Online Treasury Services,” “Best in Mobile Banking,” “Best in Social Media Marketing and Services,” “Best Mobile Banking App,” “Best Open Banking APIs,” and “Most Innovative Digital Bank.”

Citi also won the “Best Corporate/Institutional Digital Bank Award” in nineteen countries including Argentina, Bahamas, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay and Mexico (Citibanamex).

“Our digital banking strategy involves delivering the power of our global network to our clients to optimize their global operating models and decision-making," said Steve Donovan, Latin America Region Head, Treasury and Trade Solutions, “Our goal is to become an extension of our clients’ operating models, enabling them to focus on their strategic and commercial goals while we provide the financial capabilities and know-how to facilitate their evolving business models.”

Winners were chosen among entries evaluated by a world-class panel of judges at Infosys, a

global leader in consulting, technology and outsourcing. The editors of Global Finance were

responsible for the final selection of all winners. Only banks that entered the competition were considered for awards, and awards were only given in those regions, countries and categories in which there were entries. Winning banks were selected based on the following criteria: strength of strategy for attracting and servicing digital customers, success in getting clients to use digital offerings, growth of digital customers, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits

gained from digital initiatives, and web/mobile site design and functionality. Category winners, such as Best in Mobile Banking were selected based on the relative strength and success of those web products and services.

“We are extremely pleased to have been recognized by Global Finance, this award affirms Citi’s commitment to support our clients as they respond to rapid market shifts, as we deliver exceptional client experience through continuous innovation,” said Donovan.
