Nassau, Bahamas – Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA)
representatives recently toured the Nassau Container Port (NCP) facility and got
a chance to hear an overview of
the port operations and how it integrates with government agencies such as Customs
and Immigration.
BMA representatives Deputy Director of Seafarers &
Manning, Captain Dwain Hutchinson;Deputy
Director of Inspections &
Surveys, Stephen Keenan and Technical Officer, Kenneth Carey met with NCP CEO, Mike
Maura Jr. and other port officials for an informal
visit.
Mr. Maura outlined the measures that have been implemented to
ensure safety and security compliance
with national and international requirements.
The BMA later
thanked port officials for their support and assistance.
