Nassau, Bahamas - An 'apparent tornado or a strong squall line' struck the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) early this morning and some airplanes were damaged including a C6-BFQ, one of the new ATR72-600 aircraft in the Bahamasair fleet. The Bahamas Weekly was informed of the situation by local meteorologist, Wayne Neely.
"This is associated with a cold front which will move into the Bahamas by this afternoon and evening...," said Neely.
