65 Haitian Nationals Repatriated to Haiti

Today at approximately 7:58 AM, the Department of Immigration working in accordance with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) guidelines repatriated sixty-five (65) Haitian nationals to Port-au-Prince, Haiti onboard a Bahamasair flight. This group consisted of forty-seven (47) males, sixteen (16) females and two (2) minors.

The escort was carried out by a joint team of Immigration and Royal Bahamas Defence Force officers. All Ministry of Health safety protocols were strictly enforced.
