Nassau, Bahamas - Today, officials at Milo Butler Distributors announced the addition of two managers to its overall leadership team. Antoine Butler joins as the new Operations Manager and Alicia Laing as Financial Controller at the wholesale food distribution company.

Antoine, the grandson of company founder and the first Bahamian Governor General Sir Milo B. Butler, grew up working in the family business. He served as a part of the management team at retail outlets Milo Butler Home Essentials and Butler’s Bargain Mart on Baillou Hill Road. After completing university, he worked in the hotel industry and as an entrepreneur.

Milo Butler’s new Financial Controller, Alicia Laing, started her career as an Accounts Payable officer at Milo Butler where she trained and developed staff to perform at a high rate of accuracy and productivity. Later, she worked as an accountant at a local extermination company before returning to Milo Butler.

Antoine brings many years of management experience from the hospitality industry and from his work as an independent entrepreneur,” said Jevon Butler, Milo Butler’s Marketing Manager. “Alicia is also a major asset to the company and has worked in the accounting field for many years.”

Both managers will play pivotal roles in the company’s continued expansion of its wholesale, retail and commercial real estate portfolios.

Mr. Butler, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance Business Administration from Florida International University, is responsible for the day-to-day operations at Milo Butler Distributors including managing warehouse staff and overseeing the logistics and purchasing functions of the business.

Mrs. Laing graduated from Saint Leo University in 2009, earning a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and International Hospitality & Tourism Management. Her professional certifications include a CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) Certificate in Business Accounting. Mrs. Laing will focus primarily on managing existing company financial protocols while implementing new systems and procedures to enhance the Finance Department’s efficiency.

Milo B. Butler & Sons was founded in 1963. The company’s current distribution channels service the market with more than 50 exclusive brands including Juice Bowl, Five Roses, Twinings, Roma and Right Guard as well as general meat and grocery items including its own private label Super B canned foods.
