RBDF provides moral support for Detachment Teams

Defence Headquarters, (RBDF): With the holiday season approaching, the Welfare Section of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) is ensuring that the morale and well-being of personnel attached to the RBDF’s Northern and Southern Command are of the highest standard.

Consistent with the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s command strategic objection of enhancing the morale and welfare of serving members and veterans whilst developing a high-performance workforce, recreational supplies were sent to members of the force who are currently on deployment.
Led by Chief Petty Officer John Ingraham and Petty Officer Eunice Rolle of the RBDF’s

Welfare Section, supplies, which included items such as basketballs and an assortment of board games, were presented to Commodore King on December 14, 2020, at Defence Headquarters, John F. Kennedy Drive.

The items, which were made possible by the Welfare section, will be distributed to the teams stationed in Abaco and Inagua. On accepting the donations, the Commander Defence Force was grateful for the gesture, as he thanked the section for their kindness.

“As our Officers and Marines continue to perform their duties in regards to border protection against transnational security threats, I am certain they will appreciate the donations given here today”, said Commodore King. “Being away from their families calls for sacrifice to country, and it is small gestures as this, which go a long way in ensuring the organization’s continued support to them”.

The morale and welfare of members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force remain a priority, while the organization continues to protect and guard the territorial integrity of The Bahamas.
