Bahamas Pageants Organization and the Queen Project announced today that they have acquired the Miss Earth Franchise for the Bahamas and will hold a national Miss Earth Bahamas Pageant in 2019.

After several request in the past  and failures of previous Miss Earth national directors to consistently  produce a national pageant and subsequently a delegate for the international finals the producers have opted for 2018 and beyond to conduct business with a new organization.

The partnership of Bahamas Pageants and the Queen Project will seek to showcase and produce a national pageant event worthy of the Miss Earth brand that encourages it's contestants and eventual winner to be environmentally aware and visible in the community.

Once the franchise was secured we began an online search for our Bahamas Earth Goddess; we considered girls with pageant experience and who exhibited the tenacity to represent the Bahamas on the international stage.  Through a process of elimination for various reasons, unanimously it was decided that the girl to wear the Miss Earth Bahamas sash of 2018 would be 18 year old Samia Lauryn McClain.

In Samia, we found a representative that posses physical good looks, intelligence, adequate international exposure and humility, these characteristics we feel is a winning combination and representation of Bahamian Beauty.

The Miss Earth Pageant is less than 2 weeks away before the new Miss Earth Bahamas departs for Manila, Philippines to join other Earth Goddesses from around the world for one month of pre-pageant events culminating with the grand coronation on November 4, 2018.

We have no doubt that Samia's participation will make the pageant fans of the Bahamas very proud.  After one brief conversation with Samia, you would know that she is a focus driven, well-mannered young lady.  Please join all the Bahamas in congratulating her and following her goal to capture the Miss Earth Crown via social media and online pageant magazines
