Youth leaders invited to apply to One Young World Summit

All Bar None Scholarship Available for Caribbean Youth Ages 18-­30 to Attend the One Young World

Applications for the One Young World Summit are now open! 

Dear Young Caribbean Leaders,

Do you have a vision to make your country and CARICOM a better place? Would you like to meet and learn the keys of success from world leaders like Kofi Annan, Sir Richard Branson, Bill Clinton, Arianna Huffington or Professor Muhammad Yunus? Then read on, as this is the opportunity of a lifetime. 

One Young World was founded in 2009 and every year the Organization brings together young leaders from across the globe to find innovative solutions for some of the world’s most pressing issues including: climate change, youth unemployment, human rights, security, HIV/AIDS and governance. The Summit serves as a space for the most talented change makers to formulate and share innovative solutions for some of the world's most pressing issues.

The 2014 One Young World Summit takes place on October 15 -19, 2014 in Dublin, Ireland and young Bahamians are eligible for the All Bar None Scholarship. The scholarship was created to increase participation from underrepresented countries. 

While the application process is competitive, if selected, the All Bar None sponsorship would include:

● The cost of travel to and from Dublin.

● Delegate access to the One Young World Summit 2014 in Dublin, Ireland

● Hotel accommodation

● Catering which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner

● Transport between the Summit accommodation and the Summit venue

● Summit hand­outs and support materials

Ashleigh Rolle proudly represented the Bahamas from 2011-­2013 in Zurich, Switzerland Pittsburg, Pennsylvania,­USA and Johannesburg, South Africa respectively.
