PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas –The 4th annual Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic, held at the renown Ocean Club Golf Course wrapped up on Sunday, January 31st and according to Atlantis President & Managing Director Paul Burke, by all accounts it was a ‘total success.’

“The TV coverage was brilliant, the resort coverage at Atlantis accentuating the dolphins, the beaches, the pools, the people, the restaurants, and of course the golf course was spectacular.

Each year this event has gotten better, not only in terms of viewership and the caliber of players who participate, but for us at Atlantis, our colleagues who work in the trenches so to speak, each year we understand how to better anticipate the needs of those players and their entourages to make it an all-around better tournament. That coupled with agreeable weather, a beautiful venue and course made this year’s event a really great one for us for the history books. The level of enthusiasm was incredible,” he said.

Sponsored by Pure Silk and The Bahamas Government, the tournament kick started the LPGA’s 2016 season. Burke, in commending the efforts of the team members who pitched in to ensure the tournament’s successful outcome, noted that they did an amazing job.

“I sat next to the players and their agents and their friends and all the bigwigs associated with this tournament at several events held over the course of tournament week and all I could hear is how spectacular and warm and friendly they found our team members! Those were very proud moments for me. This year’s event far exceeded our expectations,” said a smiling Burke.
