Grand Bahama Island - On Saturday, August 16th the 38th Annual Bernie Butler BASRA Swim and Beach Party took place on Coral Beach.  It was one of their most successful years to date.

This annual family favourite takes place to raise funds to support the vital services of Grand Bahama BASRA (Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Assocation).

View this year's results - attached below, and watch the video showcasing winners on stage, the BASRA Grand Bahama Committee, and hear from BASRA Grand Bahama Vice Chairman, D'von Archer speak about the importance of such an event, and the need for BASRA Grand Bahama to be supported throughout the year.

38 years of swimming competition, BASRA rescue demonstrations, fun, food, family, swimsuits, sun, sea and sand!

The Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Association (Grand Bahama) is a dedicated non-profit voluntary organization committed to saving the lives of distressed seamen or airmen in the Bahamas. They are supported only by private donations and therefore require your support through their fundraising projects. Aside from the costs of their daily operations and rescue efforts, they are seeking to purchase modern lifesaving equipment like defibrillators. In addition, they are looking to the future where they can have a permanent waterfront base of operations with their own building, on Grand Bahama.
