Bahamas National Sports Awards to be Held Saturday

Nassau, Bahamas - The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture will host the second Annual National Sports Awards on Saturday, 19th November 2016 at the Crown Ballroom, Atlantis, Paradise Island at , under the theme “El Numero Uno – Still #1”

Awards will be granted in fifteen categories as the best of the best will be honored for athletic excellence, sports creativity and administrative leadership. Nominees in the various categories have been selected by the various Federations and the winners have chosen through a collaborative effort of the Sports Media, National Sports Authority, Bahamas Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture.

The categories comprise; The Prime Minister’s Award for National Pride, The Minister of Sports Award, The Bahamas Olympic Committee Award, The Tourism Impact Award, The National Coach of the Year Award, Collegiate Athlete of the Year (Male & Female), The Overall Junior Male/Female Athlete of the Year, The Overall Senior Male/Female Athlete of the Year, The Bahamas Rising Star Award, The National Secondary Athletic School of the Year (Junior/Senior), The Federation of the Year, The National Sportsmanship Award, The National Corporate Sponsor of the Year, The National Team of the Year and the National Award for Sports Development

Federations are requested to contact the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture for information with respect to the acquisitions of tickets for the event.
