LAUSANNE, Switzerland -- Two Bahamian athletes competed in the ‘Athletissima 2016’ meet in Lausanne, Switzerland held Thursday, 25 August, 2016 placing second and sixth in their events. Stephen Gardiner placed second in the men's 400 m while Donald Thomas placed sixth in the high jump.
Athletissima is an annual international competition sponsored by the IAAF Diamond League.
On hand to support the athletes were the Ambassador/Permanent Representative, Permanent Mission of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to The United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, Her Excellency Rhoda M. Jackson, and several visiting Bahamians.
