The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association congratulates Kevin Major Jr. on winning another tennis tournament in Florida. Kevin won open championships in Flamingo Park Florida only weeks after winning the BMW
Tennis Championships  in Pembrooke Pines.

Kevin was seeded 3rd in the tournament and fellow Bahamian Philip Major Jr. was seeded 6th in the tournament. Both Philip and Kevin would play superb to advance to the quarterfinals.  However, due to Philip sustaining an injury the heads up match would not occur. Kevin received a walkover to the semis to play one of his toughest match in the tournament. He would go on to win in 3 sets 7-6, 3-6, 10-8 over Mayo from the USA to advance to the finals.


In the finals he would receive another walkover from Gui Gomes the 7th seed. Kevin starts the season off with 2 tournament wins.

The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association congratulates Kevin and Philip on performing well in the tournament and Kevin Major Jr. on his victory.
