Abigail Simms from The Bahamas is playing as the #1 flight singles for her team Indiana Tech. In this position she faces the #1 ranked girls on the opposing teams On Saturday Feb 15th the Warriors took on the No. 23-ranked Cumberland University. Abigail lost in #1 singles 3-6,1-6 against Garrida. The second flight doubles of Abigail and partner Fabbrice was victorious 6-3. .l This win by Abigail and the Warriors was
key to the upset win over Cumberland.

The Warriors return to action on Saturday, February 29 as they begin conference action against Aquinas.

Bahamian Sierra Donaldson and the Lee University Flames stay perfect on the season with a win over the Christian Brothers University Bucs on Sunday Feb 16th. This match was between 2 Gulf South Conference(GSC) teams at the DeVos Tennis
Center.

Sierra Donaldson and Lauren Trammell teamed up in doubles again for a 6-0 blanking of Gabriela Marin and Beredice Porfel at No. 3 doubles.

They set the tone for the other teammates as The Flames did not drop a match in a 7-0 shutout against the Bucs.

Lee's head coach Patric Hynes spoke about the doubles."Our ladies set a great tone early with doubles today. Every court got off to a quick start which really helped us."

The Lady Flames improve to 3-0 and are 1-0 in the GSC. Lee will host Tusculum on Wednesday(Feb 19) to wrap up a three-match home stand then they will hit the road for three matches. Sierra and team will see action again against Lincoln Memorial (Feb. 27) and West Alabama (Feb. 29).


The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association congratulates Abigail and Sierra on their collegiate wins. Continue to shine!
