The final tournament of the 2019 IC Winterbotham Junior Series was held at the YMCA courts in Freeport over this past weekend.

While the weather was chilly, the Grand Bahamas Tennis Association hospitality and atmosphere were warm and spirited! Many of the Bahamas’ top U10 and U12 boys and girls participated in the competitive event.

The results were as follows:

Girls U12
Winner: Jalisa Clarke
Runner up: Rachel Thompson
Third place: Bryanne Colebrook
Fourth place: Felicity Mcphee

Girls U10
Winner: Millie Beukes
Runner up: Tatyana Madu
Semi-finalists: Kaylah Fox and Mattison Nesbitt

Boys U12
Winner: Jackson Mactaggart
Runner up: Jerald Carroll
Third place: Patrick Mactaggart
Fourth place: Nevon Bethel

Boys U10
Winner: Alec Hooper
Runner up: Noah Russell
Third place: Dionsio Hepburn
Fourth place: Swaroop Gundare

This series, designed to give U10 and U12 players competitive match play, is sponsored by The Winterbotham Trust Company and IC Bahamas, and sanctioned by the Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association.
