First Five Companies Assist IAAF World Relays Bahamas 2015

NASSAU, The Bahamas -- The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Relays Bahamas 2015 announced the first five companies to assist with the second edition of the World Relays during a press conference March 24 at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium.

With 39 days before the world relays to be held May 2 & 3, Mike Sands, chief executive officer and vice-chairman of the (LOC) named Caribbean Bottling Company (Coca-Cola) and Atlantic Medical as returning national partners, and Commonwealth Brewery Limited and Bahamas Waste as returning national suppliers with the National Sports Authority (NSA) joining at the national supplier level.

“Planning organizing and staging the event is a true team effort and we’re grateful that corporate Bahamas has joined in to assist,” Mr. Sands said. “Our partners and suppliers are generously providing their products, services, expertise and enthusiasm to help our region get ready to welcome the world again for another

‘Bahmazing’ event.”

Mr. Sands said last year there was a total of 160 countries, and so far this year 166 countries are participating.
