Haiti to send strong contingent to compete at BTC National Jr./ Sr. Track & Field Championships this weekend

The world-class Haitian national track & field team will arrive in Freeport, Grand Bahama at 11:00 on Thursday (23 June) to compete in our BTC National Track and Field Championships which will be held commencing 5:00pm on Friday and 6:00pm on Saturday at The Grand Bahamas Sports Complex.

The Haitian National team will also be attempting to qualify for the World Championships which is to be held in Daegu, South Korea, 27 August – 4 September, 2011.

The Haitian team will present several very interesting match ups against our Bahamian elite athletes including the men’s 4x400 meter relay, the men’s triple jump with Samyr Laine going up against Leevan “Superman’ Sands and the men’s 400m hurdle as listed.
