Winners circle, a day for the champs!

Grand Bahama, Bahamas - The 4th Annual Charles Knowles Golf Tournament was held at the Fortune Hills Golf Club as a celebration of Charlie's life, who was well known in the Freeport community. The friendship and fellowship was evident as the golfers went out full throttle to enjoy the challenge of good golfing on a picture perfect day. Following the tournament a delicious buffet lunch was served, as family members joined in and prizes were awarded.

The tournament is organized by Charlie's son, Dwight Knowles of Keystone Development Group and daughter, Tamese Knowles President of IE Imports, a company founded by Charles Knowles in 2006, that provides import/export service to Abaco, Bahamas.

Since the passing of "Papa Charlie" in 2009, his family has kept his memory alive by hosting this Golf Classic and in keeping with his interest for the youth in our community, the tournament was expanded to include junior golfers who were sponsored by businesses from both Freeport and Abaco.

Raffle prizes were donated by - Kim Roberts, Colette Bootle and Louis Schneider, from the Abaco arts and crafts community who were business colleagues of Papa Charlie.
