Freeport, Bahamas – Back for their second annual Golf Tournament, the Grand Bahama chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity (KAY) will step and stroll into the Kappa Klassic Golf Tournament on Grand Bahama on July 29th. The event is one of several planned as part of efforts to raise funds in aid of their many community service projects, particularly mentoring and supporting the schools in East Grand Bahama.

Scheduled to take place at the Fortune Hills Golf course in Freeport, the Bahamian Brewery and Beverage Co Ltd (BBB) will once again support this event with sponsorship funding and Bahamian Brewery products for winners in the competitive categories with each team comprised of four individuals. Not only will participants have the opportunity to win some of the Brewery’s most popular products, but the event is also a chance to win a brand-new vehicle. The player who scores the coveted ‘hole in one’ will drive away with bragging rights as well.

“After the success of last year’s inaugural tournament, Mr. Sands, a proud golfer himself, was pleased to help this event continue and grow,” said Chrissy Hanna, BBB Tour Supervisor.

This year’s event is also being powered by Aliv who recently joined the Kappa Klassic committee. “We are very excited to be involved in this, especially as it involves younger men who seem to get so lost these days. We are pleased to see KAY working to help make the young men good citizens on our country,” said Tyler Wildgoose the company’s Marketing Manager.

When the Kappa Brothers tee off, they will share the golf course with teams of youth players as part of a wider peer mentorship initiative. “Our organization is really focused on reaching young people. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to spend the day with them on the course and hopefully impart some important life lessons to them as we enjoy a day of friendly competition,” explained Larry Wildgoose, a long-standing member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.
