With school coming to a close and summer in full swing, the Freeport Rugby Football Club invites youth from around the island to sign up for the Sir Jack Hayward Soccer Camp.

The weeklong camp begins on Monday, June 25 and finishes on Friday, June 29. Each day begins at 9 a.m. and finishes at 3 p.m. During that time, participants will get the opportunity to work alongside international coaches, including several current college coaches from the United States.

“Any youngsters looking to improve their skills and get exposure to higher-level coaching should definitely sign up for our camp,” said Stephen Sheehan, Freeport RFC youth development officer.

Besides working on their soccer skills in both drills and organized scrimmages, participants will also get a chance to cool off in the clubhouse pool. Fruit and lunch will be provided daily.

The club is offering a special discount for this year’s camp, as registration costs just $100. Sponsorship scholarship opportunities are available for parents/guardians who wish to donate more. Registration forms are available at Barefoot Marketing and at the rugby club.

The club will be open on Sunday, June 24 from noon till 2 p.m. for uniform pick-up and registration collection.

For questions about the soccer camp, please contact Sheehan via email at Stephen.p.sheehan@gmail.com. Give the club a follow on social media on Instagram (@freeportugbyclub) and on Facebook (Facebook.com/FreeportRFC) to stay up to date with all club activities.
