TCI's Billy Forbes signs pro soccer deal with San Antonio Scorpions

TURKS & CAICOS - The Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports and Library Services extends congratulations to Mr. Billy Forbes, former Soccer player for the Turks and Caicos Islands on his recent signing as a professional player.

Mr. Forbes was recently signed to the San Antonio Scorpions on an eighteen-month contract.  The San Antonio Scorpions is an American professional Soccer team based in San Antonio, Texas, United States. With this eighteen month contract Billy is now officially considered a professional Soccer player.

The Ministry also extended congratulations to the Turks and Caicos Football Association for its role in Mr. Forbes’ soccer career. He was deemed one of Turks and Caicos Islands’ top soccer players over the years.  With the assistance Association, Mr. Forbes is currently residing in Lubbock, Texas where he is reading for a degree in Psychology at the Lubbock Christian University.

The Department of Sports salutes Mr. Forbes on this milestone and sees this as yet another great achievement in sports.  The Department also takes this opportunity to congratulate the Turks and Caicos Football Association and wish them all the best in the future.

Mr. Forbes has achieved the following: Three-time All-American; Conference Player of the Year; Conference New-Comer of the year; Offensive MVP; SAC First Team Offense; and NSCAA All-American.
