The BLTA Coaches Course is in Session

Nassau, Bahamas - Participants of the the Play Tennis Course (PTC) are in session this weekend at the National Tennis Center.  The participants are receiving technical and instructional knowledge; moving from the classroom setting
to the courts.

PTC is an introductory level tennis qualification. This course is being delivered through the Bahamas Lawn Tennis Associationion by the International Tennis Federation(ITF).

The 4 day coaches course is being led by the ITF Development Officer for the Caribbean, Mr. John Goede.

The President of the BLTA, Darnette Weir stated that "The Association has embarked on this timely initiative to further the development of coaching.  The impact is that young and adult beginners will benefit greatly from what the coaches have been taught."
