In Day 3 of competition in Santo Domingo at The World Juniors Tennis Competition The Bahamas faced El Salvador.

Anthony Burrows Jr. was up first. He came out strong winning the first set 6 0. He lost the second set 6 7 but was able to get the win in the third set 6 3. Up next Michael Major Jr. played well but lost in two sets 1 6 2 6.  The doubles would be the determinant factor on which one of the countries would get the overall win. Anthony teamed up with Dentry Mortimer Jr.  They played well but was not able to overcome
against El Salvador, the final score was 2 6, 4 6.

The Team faced a similar hurdle in its previous day battle against Trinidad and Tobago. Anthony lost in 2 sets 4 6, 4 6 and Michael won in a competitive three setter 6 2, 2 6, 6 3.  The duo of Michael and Anthony lost in an exhilarating three setter with results of 6 10 in the deciding set.

We wish the team better success as they now move on to the Consolation rounds. The team is coached by Mr. Godfrey Bowe.

The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association continues to encourage Michael, Anthony and Dentry as they proudly represent The Bahamas.
