It Was The Valley Boys on New Year's Morning

Nassau, Bahamas - The Valley Boys, fourth place finishers in the 2014 Boxing Day Junkanoo Parade after being assessed ten penalty points, came storming back to take top honours in the 2014 New Year's Day Junkanoo parade with 90.02 points (out of a possible 100 pts.). They also won best Shirley Street performance.

Rounding out the top four were second place finishers One Family, winners of the Boxing Day parade, third place went to Roots and fourth were the Shell Saxons Superstars.

The winners in the individual categories for the A groups are as follow:
Free Dancer - Roots
Off the shoulder - Saxons
Choreograph - Roots
Lead costume - Valley Boys
Best Banner - One Family
Shirley St. Performance - Valley Boys
Best music - One Family

The overall results for the B groups are Colours, Fancy Dancers, Conquerers for Christ and Redland Soldiers.

Further, Colours also won every individual category in a clean sweep.
