Four selections from the Angelika Siska Art Class

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - Thea Albert, Suzanne Baker, Eva Dehmel, Nicole Krapac, Mary Lips, Karen Matlack, Eva von Albedyhill, Cali Veilleux, Patricia Lihou, Bradley and Sarah Knowles, Andrew Moxey and Jim Weber, all members of art classes with Angelika Siska showed their works in the beautiful surroundings of the Garden of the Groves on March 15th.

The Blue Rider and especially Franz Marc (1880 - 1926) with his vivid colours had inspired the artists. Their influence can be very well seen in the art class's works and a big crowd of visitors admired the individual works of the different class members, different in age, in history, in nationality and education.

This was the seventh year of Angelika Siska's Art Class. Siska started in 2009 and after having taught basic painting skills in acrylic paint on canvas, she introduced painters who have had an impact on their own in the history of painting. After Henri Rousseau, Arcimboldo and Niki de Saint Phalle she presented the ideas of The Blue Rider and paintings of this group which had a revolutionary effect on the art of painting all over the western world.The colour scheme was changed dramatically and started to develop what should soon be called abstract painting.
