Abacos' Biggest Songwriters Festival Returns February 16-21, 2016

Hope Town, Abaco, Bahamas – It’s one of the most anticipated annual events on Elbow Cay, where people from around the world come to enjoy warm weather, sea breezes and performances by some of Nashville’s best musical talents. The Fourth Annual Patrick Davis Hope Town Songwriters Festival will be held February 16 - 21, 2016, at locations on Elbow Cay and Lubber’s Quarters Cay.

The festival will take place over six days at six one-of-a-kind venues with more than 15 talented Nashville-based singer/songwriters. Locations include Firefly Sunset Resort, Harbour’s Edge Restaurant, Abaco Inn, Sea Spray Resort and Marina, Hope Town Inn and Marina, and Lubbers’ Landing Resort. All of the week’s events are free and open to the public.

Songwriters performing this year include artists such as: Grammy Winning Artist, Songwriter & Producer and founding member of the country super group SUGARLAND, Kristian Bush. Hits include "All I Want to Do", "Trailer Hitch", "Baby Girl" & many more. Sirius XM Radio’s “The Highway” artist JT Hodges, Django Walker, James Slater, Phillip Lammonds, Calynn Green, Tyler Reeve, Johnny Bulford, Macy Maloy, Chris Gelbuda, Matt Warren, Morgan Myles, American Idol’s Janell Wheeler, Bryson Jennings and festival host, Patrick Davis. But it’s not just a good time, it’s for a great cause. The festival is proud to announce that they will once again donate a portion of festival proceeds to the Hope Town Primary School and they will also make a donation to the very important Friends of the Environment Abaco. Last year's festival donated more than $10,000 to Hope Town Primary’s music program; with that donation the talented students were able to attain brand new instruments for the creation of their very own Junkanoo Band. There will be a live auction during one of the events where the funds will be raised.

The 2016 festival sponsors include: Airgate Aviation, which will be providing flights to the performers, all music venues, Abaco Buzz and the Bahamian Brewery makers of Sands, Sands Light, Strong Back Stout, High Rock Lager, Bush Crack Beer and Triple B Malt.

Island transportation will be provided by Hope Town Car Rentals, Island Cart Rentals and Junior Cart Rentals.
