Seven months ago the Transforming Spaces Committee was all excited and prepared to roll out their sold-out annual TS2020 event when the unexpected, invisible COVID-19 pandemic appeared, and closed down all activity indefinitely!

The Committee remained vigilant, however, closely monitoring the situation, and wishes to sincerely thank their loyal patrons for their understanding and patience during the long wait! Poised to move forward at the earliest opportunity, they are therefore very pleased to announce the new dates of Saturday and Sunday, November 14 & 15 for the premiere of the TS2020 virtual exhibition when all tickets purchased will be honoured!

As with all things COVID-related, the TS2020 format has pivoted in response to the pandemic’s demands. The strict health and safety protocols have mandated that group bus transportation would not be available this year, nor physical visits to the galleries which remain closed to the public. Instead, thanks to the wonders of technology, the entire exhibition tour will be presented virtually in a special TS2020 Premiere for ticket holders taking place over the TS weekend!

In the comfort of their homes, ticketed patrons will be able to enjoy the high class exhibitions they have become accustomed to from the six participating galleries: The D’Aguilar Art Foundation (DAF), Doongalik Studios Art Gallery, The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas (NAGB), The University of The Bahamas (UB), The Central Bank of The Bahamas, and the newest addition to the lineup: Project I.C.E., as well as dialogue with the galleries and artists afterwards. In addition, once restrictions permit, patrons will be able to collect their special TS2020 thank you gifts from the TS Committee.

TS2020 ticket holders are asked to contact the Committee at tsbahamas@gmail.com in order to ensure access to the virtual platform premiere event in November. Further details concerning the TS2020 virtual tour will be posted on the TS website www.tsbahamas.com and the social media pages @TSBahamas and on facebook.
