The Valley Boys will celebrate this year 60 years as an organized Junkanoo Group having been founded in 1958.

To commemorate this milestone, we have planned a series of activities and events with the purpose of telling the rich Story of the Valley Boys, and to thank the many men and women who helped us to reach 60.

Today’s Courtesy Call on her Excellency Dame Marguerite is our official launch of these events.

The Group will also host a fun-run-walk this Saturday May 19th, 2018 leaving the Eastern Parade at 6:30am and returning to the Eastern Parade. After the walk there will be free Health Screening by Doctor’s Hospital Staff followed by a full day of Fun and Food.

At 8:00pm there will be a Free Bahamian Concert.

On Sunday May 20th, 2018, at 9:00am the Group will visit St. George’s Anglican Church where the idea of the Valley Boys was conceived.

Other events are planned for each month of 2018.

Thank you.
