Bill Pullman to Lead BIFF Master Class in Acting

Nassau, Bahamas - The eight edition of the Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) is set for December 1st to 4th, 2011 in Nassau. BIFF is pleased to announce that actor, Bill Pullman will be giving a Master Class in Acting on Saturday, December 3rd from 1:30 to 4:30pm.

Bill Pullman started acting professionally in the New York Theater in 1983, and shortly after began his film career that currently spans over fifty features. Recent film releases are The Killer Inside Me (with Casey Affleck), Peacock (with Susan Sarandon and Killian Murphy), Bottleshock (with Alan Rickman), Phoebe in Wonderland (with Elle Fanning), and Surveillance directed by Jennifer Lynch.  His movie work includes blockbuster comedies (Ruthless People, Spaceballs, Casper), dramas (The Serpent and the Rainbow, The Accidental Tourist, Igby Goes Down), romantic comedies (Sleepless in Seattle, While You Were Sleeping), action, (Independence Day), thrillers (Malice), westerns (The Virginian, Wyatt Earp), film noir (The Last Seduction, Lost Highway, The Zero Effect), horror (The Grudge), For television he has done a mini-series (Revelations).  Early this year he appeared in HBO's Too Big To Fail (with William Hurt and Paul Giamatti).  This summer he starred in the 10-part BBC/Starz co-production of Torchwood. Completed films to be released: Lola Versus (with Debra Winger), Innocent (TNT, with Marcia Gay Hardin). He wrote and directed Expedition 6 for the theater with premiers at the Kennedy Center and the Magic Theater.  Bill directed The Virginian for TNT Movies. Recently, his theater work includes the Broadway production of Oleanna (with Julia Styles). Other stage performances are the world premiere of Edward Albee’s The Goat (Drama Desk nomination), Albee's Peter and Jerry (Drama Desk Nomination), the Kennedy Center production of The Subject Was Roses (Helen Hays nomination) as well as productions of new plays by Beth Henley (with Holly Hunter) and Thomas Babe (with Tom Waits).  In February and March he will be appearing in Beth Henley's The Jacksonian (with Ed Harris and Glenne Headley) at the Geffin Theater in Los Angeles.

CLASS FORMAT:

    All Actors interested
    3 Hours intensive demonstration
    Learn the nuts and bolts and listen to all the personal anecdotes of an actors career
    Participate in Scene Studies with a camera and actors (studio setting)
    Question and Answer Session.
