The Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) announced today that Dylan McDermott will receive the Festival’s prestigious Celebrity Tribute Award, moderated by Jib Polhemus.

BIFF is proud to have Mr. McDermott on hand to receive the tribute presentation on Tuesday, December 6 at the Romora Bay Marina and Resort on Harbour Island, at 8:30pm for the Annual Celebrity Tribute in honour of his outstanding contributions to the film industry.

Nassau, Bahamas - The Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) is expanding its public film workshop this year with a little help from award-winning Sandyport Beach Resort. The Resort is hosting international film-maker and instructor Jillian Hall of the New Orleans Video Access Center as she works with BIFF for three weeks of workshops on film-making and editing for the Bahamian public.

The 13th edition of the Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) is just around the corner and takes place December 5–8 in Harbour Island, Eleuthera and December 8–11 in Nassau.

Michael Mailer of “Blind” starring Alec Baldwin, Demi Moore and Dylan McDermott will open the festival with a red carpet screening at Rawson Square, Downtown Nassau on Thursday, December 8th followed by the documentary “Before the Trees was Strange” directed by Derek Burrows. The Closing film “Bazodee” starring Machel Montano will close the festival with an evening screening on Sunday, December 11th at Fort Stanley, Fort Charlotte...

Nassau, Bahamas – The Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF), celebrating its 12th anniversary and taking place December 1-12, today revealed the lineup of films screening in the festival’s competition and sidebar sections. The program was announced by BIFF Founder and Executive Director Leslie Vanderpool.

This year, the Festival will showcase more than 130 films from 40 different countries including nine international premieres, 28 Caribbean premieres, and all are Bahamian premieres.

NASSAU, The Bahamas – In keeping with 2014 being observed as the Year of Culture, the Ministry of Tourism has continued its support of the 2014 Bahamas International Film Festival.

The 11th Annual BIFF officially opened Friday, December 3 at the Atlantis Theatre on Paradise Island, with the Shining Star Tribute to American actress Debra Messing, known for the Will & Grace sitcom.
