BIFF's 2008 Big Screen Art Scene - Photos -

Nassau, Bahamas – The Big Screen Art Scene took place on June 21st to kick off the Bahamas International Film Festival's (BIFF) fifth year.
This year, BIFF donated part of the funds raised to the new D'Aguilar Art Foundation in honour of the late Vincent D'Aguilar, a much-loved supporter and collector of Bahamian art.
Some of the 2008 participants included Tyrone Ferguson, Antonius Roberts, Jackson Burnside, Stan Burnside, Margot Bethel, Nicole Collie, Claudette Dean, Holly Parotti, Bernard Petit, Livingstone Pratt, and Arjuna Watson. Sir Sean and Lady Connery and Lady Nutall donated art. There was an on-site store with additional works from participating artists, live model sketching and other entertainment.

Although the Bahamas International Film Festival wrapped in December 2007, many of the films, and their filmmakers go on to attend film festival after film festival throughout the world in order to continue the promotion of their film. Enjoy this exclusive Bahamas Weekly interview with the producer of "A.W.O.L.", Jessica Wethington, and the director of "Beyond the Call", Adrian Belic.
"Beyond the Call" won the BIFF Audience Award.
