Airline to Sponsor Festival’s New Vision Film Section

Nassau, Bahamas  – It was announced today that JetBlue Airways has come on board to sponsor the Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) and will lend its name to support the New Vision Film section of the Festival. The announcement was made by BIFF Founder and Executive Director Leslie Vanderpool, and Alan Sweeting, General Manager of JetBlue Airways in The Bahamas.

Under terms of the deal, JetBlue has become the official airline sponsor of BIFF and the exclusive airline partner for festival travel between the United States and The Bahamas.

Commented Vanderpool, “We at BIFF are extremely excited to be partnering with one of the leading airlines in the aviation industry.”

Vanderpool added, “With an airline who will be serving Festival guests the special blue martini at the film festival, this is an example of a sponsor who is one step ahead, showcasing their innovation by branding themselves through a great cultural and international event. Having JetBlue as the exclusive airline partner demonstrates that we provide unique opportunities as JetBlue is known to be very selective with partner organizations.”

“JetBlue is proud to partner with BIFF and to promote the festival and travel to our islands,” said Alan Sweeting, JetBlue’s general manager for The Bahamas. “JetBlue has just celebrated 10 years of service in The Bahamas, and now offers non-stop service from five cities in the U.S., as well as convenient connections from a number of other cities. To celebrate, we are pleased to offer festival goers a discount on travel to visit our beautiful destination to enjoy the Bahamas International Film Festival.”

JetBlue has been a supporter of BIFF over the years and is proud to be presenting airline tickets to the filmmakers and celebrities from around the world. Festival goers who fly JetBlue to the Bahamas International Film Festival can receive a $10 discount* (restrictions apply) off of the base fare on round trip tickets between the U.S. and Nassau, The Bahamas, by entering the code NASBIFF10. To take advantage of this special offer, visit www.jetblue.com/promo.

JetBlue is innovative and thinking of branding throughout the film festival so Festival attendees shouldn’t be surprised if they are lucky enough to sit in a JetBlue leather chair at the theaters and, under their chair, find a free ticket to travel to any JetBlue destination courtesy of the airline.
