Bahamian recording artist Alexis will be the host of the upcoming “Ultimate Girls Night Out” Manhunt International Bahamas Male Modeling Competition on September 22nd at the Treasure Bay Casino. The night will feature a performance by recording artist, Rumah.

The seven contestants vying are from New Providence, Bimini and Grand Bahama, and having varying backgrounds in modeling. The contestants are Philip Cooper II,  Drew Palacious, Feliche Ranger, Christoph Symonette, Natakai Opato, Trumaine Taylor, and Pedro Majias.

"I am so very excited to be hosting this event that is so unique especially to the island of Grand Bahama," said Alexis.  "The men in this competition are all handsome, talented, thriving young men whom I am positive will represent The Bahamas very well in Thailand. Congrats to Star Model Management! With their event being called 'The Ultimate Girls Night Out' I am sure the night will be a success. I am SO happy I am hosting and NOT judging... because its gonna be a hard one! "

Making that difficult choice will be five fabulous female judges: Former Miss Commonwealth Bahamas, Deana North; Nikie Severe, Miss Grand Bahama 2009; Kristie Farah, Miss Grand Bahama 2012; Megan Coakley, Cinderella Teen 2002-03; Patricia Sweeting, Miss Talented Grand Bahama; and Shantell Hall, Miss World Bahamas 2003.

"Although this will be a night for the ladies, the men do not want to miss this event! " said Oswald Ellis, event organizer. "We are delighted to have Alexis who will no doubt be a charming and vivacious host for our first Manhunt competition."

Undeniably one of the hottest female artists ever to hail from Grand Bahama Island, Alexis Pelecanos has been making waves on the national music scene since 2002 at the tender age of 17. She has been widely known for her talents in not only singing, but dancing and acting for which she has won two national theater awards for as Best Featured and Best Lead actress.

In addition the young talent has also designed clothing since 16 years old and she can be seen in many of her designs while performing on stage. In February 2004 Alexis got a call from a manager of a new radio station asking her if she would be interested in working as a on-air radio talent, which was a brand new task for her but she was completely up for the new challenge. She started as a full time personality on air six days a week. Since then, Alexis has become a household name for Bahamians.

With talent, beauty and drive that stretches farther than the Islands of her great Bahamaland, Alexis shows amazing ingenuity all while having a kind spirit and a loving personality that will definitely help propel her to the top.

The community is invited to come out and enjoy the event and support their favourite Manhunt contestant. Tickets are available at 1 9 6  in the Port Lucaya Marketplace.
