Congratulations are extended to Bahamian Chris Pinder who has just been nominated for a 2014 Emmy for
Outstanding Achievement as a Director of Photography.
“It has been a long time coming and I am truly
honored and grateful to be nominated for a 2014 Emmy for Outstanding
Achievement as a Director of Photography,” said Pinder who lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
Chris worked with the creative service department
of Georgia Public Television to bring their vision to life for their “Our GPB” television
campaign of which he has been nominated. He designed creative shots by
incorporating the use of a dolly and hi-hat exclusively.
He was also responsible for lighting and
recording audio for each talent interview. The campaign was shot over the
course of a few months at various locations throughout the state of Georgia.
Chris Pinder is a constant professional always looking to capture the perfect
image.
"Today, you have
to be a chameleon in the industry. You have to be able to adapt to new
techniques, new styles, and new technology. Which means that you have to be
multi-faceted. Gone are the days of just being an editor or camera operator.
You have to know how to be self-sufficient. And that is what I pride myself on
always"

From the tender age of 7 years old, Chris Pinder has been
rubbing shoulders with major Media professionals and celebrities. From Maury
Povich to Harrison Ford, Chris has met them all.
Being the stepson of Philadelphia's Emmy Award winning news reporter Trudy
Haynes and going to NBC's affiliate station KYW after school, Chris would watch
behind the scenes and develop a natural interest in cinematography, which grew
into his passion and field of work.
Chris has been in the field for over 20 years now but decided to start his own
Media Company after meeting his wife and partner working on the set of an Indie
Film in The Bahamas 10 years ago. They chose the name "Bluehole Pictures" because they both share Caribbean roots
and love the tranquil island waters.
"I am always trying to improve on my craft and will
always be my harshest critic, ” said Pinder
who has produced,
directed, edited and served as director of photography on a multitude of
significant broadcast and corporate video projects as well as documentaries. We
have worked with Georgia Public Broadcasting, Domino's Pizza, Marco’s Pizza,
Wendy’s, KFC, Bose, Buena Vista Pictures, The Weather Channel, Lennar Homes, HGTV,
CBS, NBC, E!, CW, FOX, Bahamas Tourism, and numerous others.
"When it comes to my passion, I do whatever
it takes to get the shot. If it means getting into a zip line five hundred feet
in the mountains of Haiti, getting into a helicopter for aerials of The
Bahamas, or even putting on a bullet proof vest to shoot for America Most
Wanted, I do it. And I love what I do."
