Grand Bahama Island - After being invited to play at Michael Jordan's Celebrity Invitational in New Providence in January, Deon Estus, past bass player for Wham! came to Grand Bahama Island in The Bahamas for a visit in February 2008. He said he became instantly enamored with The Bahamas and wanted to return to check out the music of the islands, looking for fresh ideas for his new album he is working on.  He met the Editor of The Bahamas Weekly, Ms. Robbin Whachell at the Jordan event and she and her friends encouraged him to return to meet entertainers and listen to live music on Grand Bahama Island.

During his week long visit there, Estus was interviewed by The Bahamas Weekly, as well as Cool 96 FM Radio.

He met and listened to The Island Boys at Bikini Bottoms; talked with Steven Colebrook and Nat Cambridge, listened to Tyrone Green perform at Tony Macaroni's, and spent time in studio jamming with Kevin Fox. He also watched Matisse Rigby and The Ultra Vibes band perform at Port Lucaya.
