First Annual Bahamas Independence Gospel Celebration Set for July 5th

Nassau, Bahamas - As we approach the nations 42nd Independence, for the very first time the local church community including the gospel music community will come together to host the “First Annual Bahamas Independence Gospel Celebration.”

This event will bring together hundreds within the Christian community including representatives from various denominations as well as some of the top gospel recording artists and choirs. This historic occasion will be held on Sunday July 5th 2015 at The Diplomat Center beginning at 7:00PM and is being held under the patronage of the President of the Bahamas Christian Council, Rev. Dr. Ranford Patterson and Mrs. Patterson.

A number of top local gospel artists are scheduled to perform including Shaback, Tamika Taylor, Edison Sumner & Voices of Praise, Terrance Forbes, Joann Callendar, Nehemiah Hield, The Rahming Brothers, Necole Watson, DJ Counsellor, Colyn Major, Emily Williams, Big Bruh, Monique Terez, Al Gibson, Hubert McIntosh, Mother Rachael Mackey & the Singing Bishop & Prophet Lawrence Rolle. Also confirmed to participate are cultural icon Patricia Bazard along with members of the Bahamas National Children’s Choir and The Royal Bahamas Police Force Choir.

In consideration of their invaluable contribution towards nation building, several well known Bahamians will be honoured during this event including the Founder and President of Bahamas Faith Ministries International the late Dr. Myles Munroe along with his wife Pastor Ruth Ann Munroe as well Former Vice President of Bahamas Faith Ministries International the late Dr. Richard Pinder. Former National Overseer of The Church of God Bahamas, Turks & Caicos Islands the late Bishop John Humes will also be honoured along with former Youth Pastors of Bahamas Faith Ministries International the late Pastor Lavard “Manifest” Parks & his wife Pastor Radel Parks.

The event is being produced and promoted by local media and production company Harris Media Group and according to CEO Kevin “Minister K” Harris, “This is going to be an exciting opportunity for the church community, the family, the gospel music community and the entire country for that matter to truly come together and offer up praise and thanksgiving to God for all that He has done and continues to do for our beautiful country and its citizens”.

Tickets are now on sale for $12 each and can be purchased from Faith Life Book & Music Center (Diplomat Center), Logos Bookstore (Harbour Bay Shopping Plaza), 100% Bible Book & Gift Center (Robinson Road), Bucks Gospel (Wulff Road) and The Bible Book & Gift Center (Palmdale Shopping Plaza). V.I.P tickets are $25 each and groups of ten (10) persons or more can secure their tickets for $10 each directly from Harris Media Group.
