Freeport, Bahamas –One of the greatest shows to ever hit Grand Bahama was a big hit with Freeport audiences last weekend at the Regency Theatre! The team that brought you the Bahamian Icon Nominated plays Sarah’s Wedding and the New Rules of Sex and Dating and the political drama Keeping up with the Boujees proudly introduced a fresh and innovative production called “STAR.”  One of the words constantly used by audiences to describe this performance was AMAZING!

“Awesome, awesome job. I’m glad I made the decision to attend. You and your cast are very talented. I saw kids on the stage that are normally shy kids but they came out of their shell. I will be praying for you and your team to bring forth that Performing Arts school that you speak of.” – Shevonne McBean – Munroe.

This legendary stage production STAR was once again written and produced by Bahamian playwright Kerel Pinder and directed by theater veteran Kenton Pinder. Gloria McGlone served as the teams mentor and Musical Director and Collette Parker as the productions choreographer.

Pinder states; “I created STAR because I wanted to write a piece that inspired the younger generation to believe in themselves and to fight through the inevitable obstacles that try to hold them back from achieving their goals and dreams.”

“Took my kids on Saturday they enjoyed it to the end. Please I encourage all parents to take their kids especially the young ladies. Sometimes it’s hard speaking with our kids but this show told it all. Thank to the producer great job!!” – Renata Symonette
“Star is an amazing show for both kids and adults alike and everyone should come out and enjoy! You’ll immediately be pulled into the dances and the characters that these young people breathe fun and amazing life into. The lessons of hard work and pursuing your dreams is something we all can relate to," said Director Kenton Pinder.

Star is a stage play that follows the journey of a group of young people chasing their "UNCONVENTIONAL" dreams of becoming actors, dancers, singers and professional creatives. They face setbacks, negativity and a whole lot of drama! In hopes that one day these dreams may become their reality!! STAR is funny, suspenseful and extremely relatable! This is definitely a show you don’t want to miss!
