NEWS ITEM ON TROPICAL DEPRESSION TEN ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY FORECAST OFFICE SECTION, AT 12:00 AM SUNDAY, 2ND AUGUST, 2020.

…DEPRESSION DISSIPATES…

AT 11:00 PM EDT, THE CENTER OF THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION TEN WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 19.5° NORTH AND LONGITUDE 25.0° WEST OR ABOUT 250 MILES NORTH-NORTHWEST OF CABO VERDE ISLANDS.

THE SYSTEM NO LONGER HAS A WELL-DEFINE CENTER AND HAS DISSIPATED.  THE REMNANT TROUGH SHOULD MOVE GENERALLY WEST-NORTHWESTWARD FOR THE NEXT DAY OR SO.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 25 MILES PER HOUR WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  THE WINDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE REMNANTS OF THE DEPRESSION SHOULD CONTINUE TO DECREASE THROUGH SUNDAY.

THIS IS THE LAST NEXT NEWS ITEM ON THIS SYSTEM.
