NEWS ITEM NEWS ITEM ON POST-TROPICAL CYCLONE DOLLY ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY FORECAST OFFICE SECTION, AT 12 NOON WEDNESDAY 24TH JUNE 2020. …..

DOLLY BECOMES A POST-TROPICAL REMNANT LOW….

AT 11:00 AM EDT, THE CENTER OF POST-TROPICAL CYCLONE DOLLY WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 42.5°NORTH AND LONGITUDE 57.8° WEST OR ABOUT 370 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CAPE RACE NEWFOUNDLAND.

THE POST-TROPICAL CYCLONE IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST NEAR 16 MPH (26 KM/H) AND THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 35 MPH (55 KM/H) WITH HIGHER GUSTS. GRADUAL WEAKENING IS EXPECTED, AND POST-TROPICAL CYCLONE DOLLY IS EXPECTED TO DISSIPATE BY THURSDAY MORNING.
