NEWS ITEM ON TROPICAL STORM CRISTOBAL ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY FORECAST OFFICE SECTION, AT 12:39 PM EDT TUESDAY 02ND JUNE 2020.

…DEPRESSION STRENGTHENS TO A TROPICAL STORM…

AT 12 PM EDT, THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM CRISTOBAL WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 19.3°NORTH AND LONGITUDE 92.7° WEST OR ABOUT 150 MILES WEST OF CAMPECHE MEXICO. 

TROPICAL STORM CRISTOBAL IS MOVING TOWARD THE SOUTHWEST AT 3 MILES PER HOUR.  

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE 40 MILES PER HOUR WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  
THE NEXT NEWS ITEM WILL BE ISSUED AT 6 PM.
