NEWS ITEM ON TROPICAL DEPRESSION FIFTEENISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY FORECAST OFFICE SECTION, AT NOON  TUESDAY 15TH, OCTOBER 2019

…DEPRESSION REMAINS POORLY ORGANIZED AND EXPECTED TO PASS NEAR THE EASTERN CABO VERD ISLANDS LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT…

AT 11:00 AM AST, THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION FIFTEEN WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 15.6°NORTH AND LONGITUDE 21.6° WEST OR ABOUT 160 MILES EAST OF THE CABO VERDE ISLANDS.

TROPICAL DEPRESSION FIFTEEN IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHWEST NEAR 9 MILES PER HOUR.  THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 35 MILES PER HOUR WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  WEAKENING IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON WEDNESDAY AND THE SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO BECOME A REMNANT LOW BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT OR THURSDAY.
