NEWS ITEM ON TROPICAL STORM ARTHUR ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY FORECAST OFFICE SECTION, AT 12:00 PM AST, TUESDAY 19TH MAY 2020.

...ARTHUR BECOMES POST-TROPICAL...

 AT 11:00 AM AST, THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM ARTHUR WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 36.8° NORTH, LONGITUDE 68.6° WEST OR 400 MILES EAST-NORTHEAST OF CAPE HATTERAS, NORTH CAROLINA.

ARTHUR IS MOVING TOWARD THE EAST NEAR 15 MPH.  ARTHUR IS EXPECTED TO GRADUALLY TURN SOUTHWARD AND SLOW DOWN OVER THE NEXT DAY OR SO..

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 60 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. SOME GRADUAL WEAKENING IS FORECAST TO BEGIN TONIGHT AND CONTINUE THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

THIS IS THE LAST ADVISORY THAT WILL BE ISSUED ON TROPICAL STORM ARTHUR.
