General Situation:  A weak cold front will continue to move southeastwards across the NW Bahamas as high pressure ridge gradually builds in its wake. The front will stall near or across the Central Bahamas on Tuesday and dissipate by Wednesday. Building high pressure ridge will push a weak cold front through the Bahamas by Friday morning. The front will continue to move southeastward through the Central Bahamas and stall across the SE Bahamas, where it will shift south of the area as high pressure builds over the area through Sunday.

Monday 25th– Partly cloudy and warm with the chance of few passing showers or a possible isolated thunderstorms mainly across the NW and Central Bahamas during the daytime. Partly cloudy to fair skies and mild at night with the slight chance of few lingering showers. Maximum temperature 84°F and a minimum temperature 66°F. Winds SW to W veering NNW to NNE at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas, falling light and variable at times and variable at 10 knots or less across the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet over the ocean in the NW Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet at times and 1 to 3 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas.

Tuesday 26th– Party to mostly sunny and warm with the chance of few passing showers during the daytime. Mostly fair to clear skies and mild at night with the slight chance of a shower. Maximum temperature 85°F and a minimum temperature 70°F. Winds NE to E at 05 to 10 knots over the entire Bahamas, falling light and variable at times, but increasing to 10 to 15 knots with higher gusts likely later. Seas 1 to 3 feet over the entire Bahamas but building to 2 to 4 feet later.

Wednesday 27th – Partly to mostly sunny, a bit breezy and warm with few passing showers likely during the daytime. Partly cloudy to fair skies and mild over most areas with increasing clouds across the NW Bahamas throughout the night. Maximum temperature 86°F and minimum temperature 71°F. Small craft should continue to exercise caution across the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds E’ly at 10 to 15 knots across the entire Bahamas with higher gusts, increasing to 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet but slightly higher in gusts in the NW Bahamas and building to 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas.

Thursday 28th– Partly cloudy and warm with few passing showers likely during the daytime. Partly cloudy to fair skies and warm at night with the slight chance of showers. Maximum temperature 85°F and minimum temperature 72°F. Small craft should exercise caution over parts of the Central and SE Bahamas early. Winds NE to E at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas, backing N to NE at 10 to 15 knots later and NE to E at 15 to 20 knots early in the Central and SE Bahamas, turning more NE’ly at 10 to 15 knots later. Seas 2 to 4 feet over the NW Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas, falling to 2 to 4 feet later.

Friday 29th – Partly to mostly sunny, a bit breezy and warm with few passing showers mainly in the SE Bahamas. Partly cloudy to fair skies and warm with lingering showers around the Central and SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 84°F and minimum temperature 72°F. Small craft should continue to exercise caution over parts of the NW and Central Bahamas. Winds N to NE at 10 to 15 knots early in the NW Bahamas, but increasing to 15 to 20 knots later and N to NE at 10 to 15 knots early in the Central and SE Bahamas but increasing to 15 to 20 knots over parts of the Central Bahamas later. Seas 2 to 4 feet over the entire Bahamas early, building to 4 to 6 feet across parts of the NW and Central Bahamas later.

Saturday 30th – Partly to mostly cloudy, a bit breezy and warm with the chance of passing showers likely during the daytime through nightfall. Maximum temperature 85°F and minimum temperature 71°F. Small craft should exercise caution across the entire Bahamas for winds early and moderate Ocean Swells. Winds NE to E at 15 to 20 knots early, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots later. Seas 4 to 6 feet over the entire Bahamas, falling to 2 to 4 feet later. Seas up to 7 feet over the exposed Atlantic Ocean in light to moderate N’ly to NE’ly swells.

Sunday 01st– Partly to mostly cloudy, a bit breezy at times and warm with the slight chance of passing showers likely during the daytime through nightfall. Maximum temperature 88°F and minimum temperature 72°F. Small craft caution across the Extreme NW Bahamas, becomes advisory later and a caution continues for moderate swells across the remainder of the Bahamas.Winds E to SE at 05 to 10 knots early, shifting SW to W at 15 to 25 knots across the Extreme NW Bahamas; E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas, falling 10 knots or less at times and E’ly at 10 to 15 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas, shifting variable at 10 knots or less later. Seas 1 to 3 feet in the Extreme NW Bahamas, building to 5 to 8 feet later and 2 to 4 feet in the rest of the Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet later. Seas up to 7 feet over the exposed Atlantic Ocean in light to moderate N’ly and NE’ly swells.

Beachgoers and mariners should be vigilant for rough surf and the moderate to high risk of dangerous rip currents mainly along the north and east coast beaches during the stated advisories. Mariners should exercise caution for gusty winds and higher seas during heavy showers or strong to severe thunderstorms. Mariners should also be alert for waterspout activity during the daytime through nightfall across all areas. Localized flooding during heavy downpours across low lying and flood prone areas is expected.
