General Situation: A reinforcing cold front over the Central Bahamas will continue to move southeastward through the SE Bahamas today and eventually merge with a stationary front south of the area through Friday. Meanwhile, a high pressure system will gradually build over the southern United States and it will slide over the western Atlantic waters north of the Bahamas as stationary front dissipates south of the Bahamas on Saturday. High pressure ridge will dominate the weather across the area through Tuesday with another cold front potentially moving towards or across the NW Bahamas on Wednesday.

Thursday 05th – Partly sunny and warm across the NW and Central Bahamas, turning partly cloudy to fair and cool at night. Elsewhere, partly to mostly cloudy and warm with few lingering passing showers across the SE Bahamas during the daytime through nightfall. Maximum temperature 76°F and minimum temperature 61°F. Small craft should exercise caution in the SE Bahamas late. Winds NW to N at 10 to 15 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas, switching more N to NE at 10 to 15 knots late, falling light and variable at times and NE to E at 10 to 15 knots in the SE Bahamas increasing to 15 to 20 knots later. Seas 2 to 4 feet over the entire Bahamas but building to 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas late.

Friday 06th – Partly to mostly sunny and warm with few passing showers mainly across the SE Bahamas during the daytime. Partly cloudy to fair skies and cool at night with showers continuing across the SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 78°F and minimum temperature 62°F. Small craft should continue to exercise caution over the SE Bahamas. Winds NE to E at 10 knots or less across the NW Bahamas; NE to E at 10 to 15 knots in the Central Bahamas and E’ly 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 1 to 3 feet in the NW Bahamas; 2 to 4 feet in the Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Saturday 07th – Partly to mostly sunny and warm with the chance of few showers across the Central and SE Bahamas during the daytime. Partly cloudy to fair skies and mild at night with few lingering showers mainly over the SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 81°F and minimum temperature 63°F. Small craft should exercise caution across parts of the SE Bahamas and caution across the NW Bahamas late. Winds NE to E at 10 knots or less in the NW and Central Bahamas, backing to N to NE at 15 to 20 knots late across the NW Bahamas and NE to E at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas, falling to 10 to 15 knots at times. Seas 1 to 3 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas, building to 4 to 6 feet in the NW Bahamas late and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas, falling to 2 to 4 feet at times.

Sunday 08th – Partly to mostly sunny, a bit breezy and warm with a few passing showers during the daytime. Mostly fair and mild at night with few lingering clouds and showers across the SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 83°F and minimum temperature 68°F. Winds NE to E at 10 to 15 knots across the entire Bahamas, but gusty at times. Seas 2 to 4 feet across the entire Bahamas, but higher in gusts.

Monday 09th – Mostly sunny and warm with few passing showers during the daytime, turning mostly fair to clear and mild at night with the slight chance of a passing shower. Maximum temperature 84°F and a minimum temperature 70°F. Small craft should exercise caution across the entire Bahamas for ocean swells. Winds NE to E at 10 to 15 knots, switching to E to SE at 10 to 15 knots later in the NW and Central Bahamas, falling light and variable at times and E’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet at times and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas. Light to moderate NE’ly to E’ly swells expected across the NW and Central Bahamas and light to moderate N’ly and E’ly swells across parts of the SE Bahamas.

Tuesday 10th – Mostly sunny and very warm with few isolated showers during the daytime. Fair to mostly clear skies and mild at night with the chance of a few passing showers. Maximum temperature 86°F and a minimum temperature 72°F. Small craft should exercise caution across the entire Bahamas for ocean swells. Winds NE to E at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas, falling light and variable at times; E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the Central Bahamas and E’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas, falling to 10 to 15 knots at times. Seas 2 to 4 in the NW and Central Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet at times in the NW Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas, falling to 2 to 4 feet at times. Light to moderate NE’ly to E’ly swells across the entire Bahamas.

Wednesday 11th – Partly cloudy and very warm with few scattered showers likely during the daytime, turning partly cloudy to fair skies and warm at night with the chance of few passing showers. Maximum temperature 86°F and minimum temperature 68°F. Small craft should continue to exercise caution across the entire Bahamas for ocean swells. Winds E to SE at 10 knots or less, backing to NE to E at 10 knots or less later in the NW Bahamas; E’ly at 10 to 15 knots in the Central Bahamas and E’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots later. Seas 1 to 3 feet in the NW Bahamas; 2 to 4 feet in the Central Bahamas and 4 to 7 feet over the ocean in the SE Bahamas, falling to 2 to 4 feet later. light to moderate E’ly swells across the entire Bahamas.

Beachgoers and mariners should be vigilant for rough surf and the moderate to high risk of dangerous rip currents mainly along the north and east coast beaches during the stated advisories. Mariners should exercise caution for gusty winds and higher seas during heavy showers.
