A lingering frontal boundary across the Southeast Bahamas on Sunday will gradually weaken through Monday.  Another front is expected to move into the Northwest Bahamas on Monday, race southeastwards across the islands and merge with the stationary front Monday night.  This boundary will linger and gradually weaken through mid-week.  The dominance of High pressure will support mild and pleasant weather through Friday.  Another front will drift in the vicinity of the Extreme Northwest Bahamas on Saturday and may spark a few showers Saturday night.

SUNDAY 17th – Weather:Variably cloudy and mild today with a few showers in the Southeast Bahamas...Turning cool tonight. Winds: West to Northwest at 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest & Central Bahamas but shifting North to Northeast at 10 to 15 knots in the Central Bahamas tonight...and East to Southeast at 10 to 15 knots in the Southeast Bahamas, falling Light & Variable at times. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean.

MONDAY 18th – Variably cloudy and mild becoming a bit breezy later this evening with a few showers in the Central & Southeast Bahamas...Turning cool tonight mainly in the Northwest and Central Bahamas.  A Small Craft Caution will come into effect for the Central & Southeast Bahamas this evening.  Winds:Northwest to North at 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest & Central Bahamas, veering North to Northeast at 10 to 15 knots tonight and increasing 15 to 20 knots in the Central Bahamas…Easterly at 10 knots or less in the Southeast Bahamas, becoming Northeast to East at 15 to 20 knots tonight.  Seas:2 to 4 feet over the ocean in the Northwest & Central Bahamas and 3 feet or less in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas will build 4 to 6 feet tonight in both the Central & Southeast Bahamas.

 

TUESDAY 19th – Variably cloudy and mild but somewhat breezy in the Central & Southeast Bahamas with a few stray showers through tonight.  A Small Craft Caution is in effect for the Central & Southeast Bahamas.  Winds:Northeast to East at 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest Bahamas...& 15 to 20 knots in the Central & Southeast Bahamas.  Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean in the Northwest Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Central & Southeast Bahamas.

WEDNESDAY 20th – Mostly Sunny and mild in the Northwest Bahamas, turning fair and cool at night...Variably cloudy, warm and breezy with a few showers mainly near the front in the Central & Southeast Bahamas. A Small Craft Caution is in effect for the Central & Southeast Bahamas.  Winds:Northeast to East at 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest Bahamas, backing North to Northeast at 10 to 15 knots tonight but falling light & variable at times…Northeast to East at 15 to 20 knots in the Central & Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean in the Northwest Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Central & Southeast Bahamas.

THURSDAY 21st – Mostly Sunny and mild in the Northwest Bahamas...Partly cloudy to cloudy, warm and a bit breezy with a possible shower or two in the Central & Southeast Bahamas, near that weakening frontal boundary.  A Small Craft Caution is in effect for the Southeast Bahamas.  Winds: North to Northeast at 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest Bahamas, becoming Variable, less than 10 knots at night…& Northeast to East at 10 to 15 knots in the Central Bahamas but 15 to 20 knots in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas:2 to 4 feet over the ocean in the Northwest & Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Southeast Bahamas.

FRIDAY 22nd – Mostly Sunny and warm…turning fair and mild at night.  Winds: Southeast to South at 10 knots or less in the Northwest Bahamas, falling Light & Variable at night…East to Southeast at 10 knots or less in the Central Bahamas...& Northeast to East at 10 to 15 knots in the Southeast Bahamas.  Seas: 3 feet or less in the Northwest & Central Bahamas...& 2 to 4 feet in the Southeast Bahamas.
 
SATURDAY 23rd – Sunny and warm today…Turning fair and mild tonight. Winds: Variable, less than 10 knots.  Seas: Less than 3 feet over the ocean.
