SEVEN DAY WEATHER FORECAST 14-20 MARCH, 2016

GENERAL SITUATION: A weak ridge of high pressure remains the dominant weather feature over The Bahamas and maintaining pleasant conditions.

Monday 14th – Partly sunny and warm today with the chance of isolated showers; fair and mild tonight. Maximum Temperature 84°F and Minimum Temperature 70°F. Winds S-SW 10-15 knots in the Northwest Bahamas and E-SE 10-15 knots in the Central & Southeast Bahamas. Seas 2-4 feet over the ocean.

Tuesday 15th – Partly sunny and warm with the chance of a stray shower or two. Maximum Temperature 82°F and Minimum Temperature 71°F. Winds SW-W at 10 knots or less, becoming light and variable at nighttime in the Northwest Bahamas, NE-E at 10 knots or less in the remainder of the country. 1-3 feet over the ocean.

Wednesday 16th – Partly sunny and warm. Maximum Temperature 83°F and Minimum Temperature 70°F. Winds variable less than 10 knots in the Northwest Bahamas, and NE-E 10-15 knots in the Central & Southeast Bahamas. Seas less than 3 feet over the ocean in the Northwest Bahamas and 2-4 feet elsewhere.

Thursday 17th – Mostly sunny with little chance of showers; fair tonight. Maximum Temperature 82°F and Minimum Temperature 70°F. Winds light and variable. Seas 3 feet or less over the ocean.

Friday 18th – Mostly sunny and warm. Maximum Temperature 82°F and Minimum Temperature 71°F. Winds SW at 10 knots in the Northwest& Central Bahamas and SE 10-15 knots elsewhere. Seas 1-3 feet over the ocean in the Northwest & Central Bahamas and 2-4 feet over the ocean for the Southeast Bahamas.

Saturday 19th – Partly sunny and warm with isolated showers mainly in the Northwest Bahamas; fair and warm tonight. Maximum Temperature 83°F and Minimum Temperature 72°F. Winds S-SW 10-15 knots in the Northwest & Central Bahamas and E 10-15 knots in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas 2-4 feet over the ocean.

Sunday 20th – Cloudy with scattered showers and possible thunderstorms with some reprieve by nighttime. Maximum Temperature 82°F and Minimum Temperature 72°F. Small Craft Caution in effect. Winds SW 15-20 knots in the Northwest Bahamas, and SE-S 15-20 knots elsewhere. Seas 4-6 feet over the ocean
