THIS IS THE BAHAMAS PUBLIC FORECAST ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY FOR TODAY AND TONIGHT THURSDAY 5TH DECEMBER 2019 AT 6:00 AM        

GENERAL SITUATION: A REINFORCING COLD FRONT NEAR THE CENTRAL BAHAMAS CONTINUES TO QUICKLY MOVE SOUTHEAST WARD THROUGH THIS EVENING WHILE HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS ACROSS THE AREA BEHIND IT

NORTHWEST & CENTRAL BAHAMAS

WEATHER: VARIABLY CLOUDY AND MILD TODAY BECOMING FAIR AND COOL TONIGHT WITH THE SLIGHT CHANCE OF BRIEF PASSING SHOWERS

WINDS:  NORTHWEST TO NORTH AT 10 TO 15 KNOTS OVER OPEN WATERS.

SEAS: 2 TO 4 FEET OVER THE OCEAN.

 

SOUTHEAST BAHAMAS

WEATHER: VARIABLY CLOUDY AND A BIT BREEZY WITH ISOLATED SHOWERS THROUGH TONIGHT

ADVISORY: SMALL CRAFT CAUTION WILL COME INTO EFFECT THIS AFTERNOON
