The Bahamas Department Of Meteorology Has Re-issued A Severe Weather Warning And Watch From 7:35 Am Until 9:35 Am Sunday 11th March 2018.

A Severe Weather Warning Continues For Andros, New Providence And The Berry Islands And Now Includes Abaco, Exuma, Eleuthera And Their Adjacent Waters.

A Severe Weather Watch Is Now In Effect For Cat Island.

At 7:35am Observation, Radar, Satellite Imagery  And Lightning Detector Depicted Clusters Of Heavy Showers And Thunderstorms  Across Andros, New Providence,  The Berry Islands, Abaco, Exuma, Eleuthera And Moving Towards Cat Island.

Some Of These Showers And Thunderstorms Will Be Severe At Times Causing Strong Gusty Winds, Dangerous Lightning, Heavy Downpours, Hail And Possible Waterspout Or Tornadic Activity. 

Boaters In The Warning Areas Should Seek Safe Harbour And Residents In The Warning Areas Should Stay Indoors And Away From Windows. Boaters And Residents In The Watch Area Should Be Prepared To Take Quick Action When Conditions Worsen. Residents Should Not Seek Shelter Under Trees Or In Water As These Can Become Lightning Conductors.
