Tropical Storm Danielle forms in the Bay of Campeche

Tropical Storm Danielle forms in the Bay of Campeche, no threat to the U.S, according to the National Hurricane Centre.

As of the 8am NHC update, Tropical Depression 4 strengthens into Tropical Storm Danielle. Winds are near 40mph with a slow movement to the west at 7mph. Danielle was located near 20.6N and 96.0 W. Pressure was at 1008mb.

Danielle will continue on a westward movement through the day and will make landfall sometime this afternoon or evening in Mexico.

Danielle is expected to bring 6 to 10inches of rain with localized higher amounts to portions of Mexico.

Danielle is no threat to the U.S. but is the 4th named storm of the 2016 Atlantic Hurricane season.

MEANWHILE, NEWS ITEM ON TROPICAL DEPRESSION FOUR ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY FORECAST OFFICE SECTION, AT 06:00 AM MONDAY 20TH JUNE 2016.

…DANIELLE STRENGTHENS A LITTLE MORE AS HEAVY RAINS SPREAD ACROSS EASTERN MEXICO …

NEWS ITEM ON TROPICAL STORM DANIELLE ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY FORECAST OFFICE SECTION, ON MONDAY 20TH JUNE 2016 AT NOON.

DANIELLE IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NEAR 7 MPH.  A MOTION TOWARD THE WEST OR WEST-NORTHWEST IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT DAY OR SO.  ON THE FORECAST TRACK, THE CENTER OF DANIELLE IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INLAND OVER EASTERN MEXICO LATER TODAY OR TONIGHT.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE INCREASED TO NEAR 45 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS.

TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 80 MILES FROM THE CENTER.

TROPICAL DEPRESSION DANIELLE IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST AT 7 MPH. 

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 35MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. SOME SLIGHT STRENGTHENING IS FORECAST AND THE DEPRESSION COULD BECOME A TROPICAL STORM BEFORE IT MAKES LANDFALL IN MEXICO LATER TODAY.
