WEATHER BY PHONE FOR NASSAU

WARNINGS: MARINERS AND BEACHGOERS ARE ADVISED TO REMAIN IN PORT AND REFRAIN FROM SWIMMING DUE TO ROUGH SURF AND HAZARDOUS RIP CURRENTS. MOTORISTS AND PEDESTRIANS ARE ADVISED TO EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION WHILE TRAVELLING ALONG COASTAL ROADS DUE TO SEA SPRAY AND OVER-TOPPING WAVES ESPECIALLY DURING HIGH TIDE PARTICULARLY THE FISHING HOLE ROAD IN GRAND BAHAMA AND THE GLASS WINDOW BRIDGE IN ELEUTHERA.

GENERAL SITUATION:    A QUASI-STATIONARY FRONT ACROSS THE CENTRAL BAHAMAS IS EXPECTED TO GRADUALLY SHIFT NORTHWARD THROUGH MONDAY.  MEANWHILE HIGH PRESSURE BEHIND THE FRONT CONTINUES TO GENERATE FRESH TO STRONG WINDS AROUND THE ISLANDS.

WEATHER: PARTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY AND WINDY WITH FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS THROUGH MONDAY.

ADVISORY:         BOATERS ARE ADVISED TO REMAIN IN PORT.

WINDS:   NORTHEAST TO EAST AT 20 TO 30 KNOTS TONIGHT BECOMING EASTERLY AT 20 TO 25 KNOTS ON MONDAY.

SEAS:     8 TO 12 FEET TONIGHT DECREASING 7 TO 10 FEET ON MONDAY.
