Financial Advisor Nathaniel Butler, is the CEO of Drewber Solutions and will lead panel discussions designed to help local couples build their financial intimacy during the event of the same name. The event will take place at Luciano's Restaurant on February 28, 2019 offering participating couples an evening of fun, fine dining, and financial advice.

Nassau, Bahamas - In February – the month of love – thousands of couples around the globe will pause to celebrate all the ways they cherish their significant others and thousands more will take the plunge into marital bliss. For many of those very couples however, matrimonial money matters threaten to end their happily ever after prematurely. According to a 2015 financial study, money can be a huge source of conflict in marriage with more than eight hundred thousand of the two million annual marriages ending in divorce because of it.

Enter financial advisor Nathaniel Butler who, alongside his wife Ashley, and their collaborative partner, relationship psychologist Harrison Thompson. Together, they’re are hoping to give local couples a fighting chance with a special event designed to help couples work on their financial fitness.

“I’ve found that while couples often tackle sensitive issues, like religious beliefs, political views and even children very early on, many persons never have a real conversation with their partners about their attitudes toward money and spending” explained Butler.

Noted Local Psychologist and Relationship Therapist Harrison Thompson is one of three key speakers at the upcoming Financial Intimacy event hosted by Drewber Solutions.

Building on the idea of ‘Financial Intimacy’ the Butlers have set out to help newlyweds – and long term partners – navigate the often tricky dynamics of combining their views on marriage and money. On February 28th the financial duo will team up with other relationship experts to host a special workshop dubbed: Financial Intimacy: No More Secrets. For a nominal cost of seventy dollars ($70.00) per person, couples looking to right size their marital finances will be treated to an evening of food, fun and financial advice set to the picturesque backdrop of the Marina at Luciano’s Restaurant on East Bay street.

“Financial Intimacy” like any other form of intimacy requires a certain level of trust and openness” noted Ashley Butler, “It requires partners to be honest but also strategic about the way they expect money to managed in their specific households and so this event has been designed to facilitate those conversations and provide practical tips that take the guess work out of it all”.

Butler, who has earned multiple career defining local and international finance certifications will lead panel discussions alongside Thompson, as well as Certified life coach Nathan Sweeting, who will provide various insights on how to avoid common relationship and money mistakes.

Certified Life Coach and consultant Nathan Sweeting will lend his expertise to the conversation on marriage and money management at the upcoming Financial Intimacy event for couples.

“The issues can be wide ranging; from failing to discuss personal debts before walking down the isle, to challenges in creating a budget” Butler explained.

“For us, the endgame to help newlyweds start their lives together on a good financial footing and to help not-so-newlyweds correct some of those financial mistakes”.

The event which will start promptly at 7pm will not only facilitate important conversations about marriage and money but will also provide a much needed networking platform for couples in business and through its event referral plan give participating couples who refer other couples the opportunity to receive a free and personalized financial coaching sessions.
